A Home Accessories Haven

My (now) husband and I bought a house this summer. Another huge perk of living in Pittsburgh: affording something nice AND in your price range. A good part of my exploration on weekends is to find things to decorate such house. So expect to see a plethora of posts of my design inspiration and where I've found things locally.

My favorite store for home accessories is Penhollows on S. Highland Ave. in Shadyside. Everything is utterly chic and the store is filled with things you never knew you needed: Thomas Paul throw pillows, Dash & Albert rugs (the cotton ones are very reasonably priced and washable), frames, prints, antique and coffee table books, adorable kitchen accessories, shall I go on? Tip: I found great Christmas gifts for my mother-in-law here last year.

They also just opened a design center next door filled with Lee furniture and fabrics. We already picked out the couch we will get. One day.

There were two rugs at Penhollows that I was deliberating over for our bedroom. I ultimately selected the first one. I love the quatrefoil-style pattern. We bought 2 runners and laid them on either side of the bed.
